In an effort to tame the creative beasts and minions that work for It’s Geektime (IGT) now, I have started a new schedule for our regular columns.  Diaries of a Webmaster (DoW) will post new content on Tuesdays, Geek-op (GO) will post on Wednesdays, IT Question of the Week (ITQ) will post Thursdays, and to end your week on a sweet note The Geek’s Girl (TGG) will post on Fridays.

The purpose for setting this new schedule is two-fold.  The first is obvious, to help give the writers some deadlines.  I prefer to keep the atmosphere amongst the staff as casual as I can, but having these deadlines helps people organize their time to fit in some IGT action.  The second is to help motivate us.  I know that having a deadline like this helps motivate me to get write, otherwise it tends to slip through the cracks.  As of now, there is no set schedule for reviews; they will appear randomly as we write them.

You may have also noticed some acronyms floating around in my previous paragraphs.  Acronyms are an efficient way of referencing things (or so I like to think, mostly a lot of us are lazy).  Due to this efficient information vehicle, I have given some of our columns acronyms so communicating things is easier.  Feel free to use these in your real life as much as you want (because I know all of you talk about IGT all the time with your friends and family).

If you have an idea or question about web design, web development, or managing projects like these feel free to write me at webmaster@itsgeektime.com.
